What is Laser Therapy and How Does it Help?
Laser therapy is a drug free, non invasive option for pain relief in pets.
The infrared light targets the mitochondria in damaged cells and stimulates them to regenerate and return to optimal function. This process is called photobiomodulation and only impacts damaged cells.
It can be used to treat both acute and chronic pain, post surgical pain, arthritis, wounds, skin conditions, ear infections and more.
Laser therapy compliments existing treatment plans, and can help reduce the need for prescription medications.
What are Treatments Like?
Treatment is fast and comfortable for your pet. The soothing warmth of the laser helps ease pain, reduce inflammation and speed recovery.
While your pet receives treatment, they wear protective eye goggles. You are welcome to be with your pet during treatment, and will also wear protective eye glasses.
No clipping or shaving of the fur is required as the light penetrates through fur, skin and fat to reach damaged tissues.
Some conditions require several treatment sessions to achieve the desired outcome.
