Angela Ancelet

Locum Registered Veterinary Technician

Angela A and kitty
Angela is a born and raised Calgarian. She knew from an early age that she loved animals of all kinds and even did a report on hammerhead sharks in elementary school. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Calgary. She went to Olds College for the Animal Health Technology program and graduated in 2006. She worked at an emergency clinic for 4 years followed by private practice for 12.5 years. She now is happily working as a Locum which allows her to experience different clinics, keeping work exciting and fresh!

As a locum Angela feels really blessed to be able to move around to different clinics and see many wonderful patients. She really enjoys the amazing team dynamic at Chestermere Veterinary Clinic, whose focus on working as a team really ensures that the patients are getting the best care.

Being a Registered Veterinary Technologist allows Angela to help in all aspects of patient care, from helping in appointments and client education, to diagnostic testing and anesthesia. She is always happiest sharing her knowledge either in client education or helping co-workers learn. In turn, she also enjoys learning from clients and co-workers, and loves that even after 17 years in the industry she is still learning.

Angela comes from a large family with 5 siblings and many nieces and nephews. She has her own “furry children” which include 2 rambunctious cats: Rogue a calico, and Storm a grey tabby. They love to keep her on her toes! Luckily they are cute enough to get away with almost anything. The cats even enjoy a catio Angela built to let them have some safe outside time, and the cats sure love it! Angela enjoys a large variety of activities including camping and hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. She loves traveling when she can get away, especially if she can go to Disney, or somewhere that she can scuba dive! She also loves reading and exploring new foods.
