Laura was was born in Calgary. She spent much of her childhood growing up in Nova Scotia and still has a lot of family back east. She has worked as an Architectural Graphic Designer, in accounts payable & receivable, in purchasing & logistics, and has a background in cabinet making. She also has Emergency Medical Responder schooling, completed the Veterinary Assistant Program with Animal Behavior College, and is currently enrolled at Medaille College completing the Associate in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology program.

Laura joined the Chestermere team in 2020 as a Client Care Specialist, and became and Registered Veterinary Technician student in 2022.  She really enjoys challenging cases that require finding a customized treatment plan that works well for our clients and patients. She also loves being able to make our clients and patients lives better, and making a difference. Plus snuggling ALL the cute pets is also a perk! She is Fear Free Level 3 Elite certified.
